Passport requirements

Dear All,

I have submitted an application for naturalisation in the UK and am currently awaiting a biometric appointment.

After five years, I was able to get ILR through my spouse. (Children and wife are British.)

I will apply for a passport if my naturalisation application is approved. I was born in a different nation, and my birth certificate is missing (lost), which is now causing confusion. Is a birth certificate required in order to submit a passport application?

Further, my current passport will have expired by the time I apply for a new one. Should I use the expired one or do I need to renew it?

Birth certificate not required.

Expired is fine.

Urgent advice required.

I have submitted my naturalisation application. However, I received a PCN from Hilton Hotel parking, and I challenged that I was attending a wedding. Still waiting for their decision. Further, I unintentionally drove through a red light today. There were two cameras at the top of the light, so I don’t know whether those were the cameras or just sensors. Now I have biometrics on February 9. Do I need to write a covering letter to disclose these two incidents, or what shall I do? It all happened after the online application.

Thank you

PCN doesn't need to be disclosed. Just pay it. If you receive a foxed penalty notice for driving through a red light you should disclose that one to the further nationality enquiries email address.
