Passport Application post Naturalisation Question

Hi guys,

I searched the forum and I literally can't find my situation mentioned ANYWHERE (or I am really bad at this).

I was born in the UK post 1983 and I never got British Citizenship until very recently through Naturalisation.

Now, the convoluted bit - The spelling of my name in my British Birth Certificate is different than my first passport from my previous country of nationality - It was never intentional, just that the case worker decided to have a mind of his own and change the spelling of my name which affected basically the name I used for professional purposes (for visas, degrees, jobs etc).

My question to you - I know that post Naturalisation, HMPO would ask for Naturalisation Certificate, and my foreign passport to be able to issue a passport, in the normal case. But in my case, the moment I select born in the UK, I would imagine they are going to ask for the Birth Certificate? by which I can only imagine will open a whole can of worms of why the birth certificate name spelling is different than naturalisation etc... and end up in a catch 22 situation. Am I overthinking this?

Any tips or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If you are naturalised, which is your claim to British citizenship, then the UK birth certificate is not relevant.
At naturalisation were you asked for your birth certificate?

Go through the online form, it will give you the list of documents you need in your case before you are asked to pay. Could always change your name by deed poll to the spelling on your naturalisation certificate and update your foreign passport.
