Hi everyone,

A quick question, it is known that we have to wait 12 months between getting the ILR and applying for citizenship (Skilled worker route), do you know when calculating these 12 months starts? does it start from getting the ILR card, receiving the UKVI letter that your ILR application is successful, or from the ILR application submission date?

Regards,
Mo

12 months wait period start from the date ILR was granted (email/letter) - unless you are spouse of a British citizen then no waiting.
Note naturalisation isn't an immigration application so any other date is not relevant.
