Hello,

Could someone please help me understand which forms I should use for my wife's and daughter's(11yrs old) British citizenship applications? Both of them have been on ILR for more than 5 years, and I obtained a British passport nearly 8 years ago. Can you advise on the appropriate application forms for my wife and daughter's citizenship, please?

Many thanks,
Sunil

For wife it's AN and for child MN1 - now wife can start her application online and when filled in add another applicant "under 18" the system then will adjust to MN1 for child. So just one login, one account. Your wife and child are the applicants.

Don't forget to review the guidance:

AN: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-guidance

MN1: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... 1-guidance

Thank you very much for your response.

I have few queries, it would be greatly appreciated if you could kindly guide me through this as I'm having blank moment.
The below three questions are from MN1 form 1.1, 1.2 and 3.1, what should we answer for these questions please?
1.1 Indicate the section of the British Nationality Act 1981 under
which you would like the application considered. See MN1guide
(www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-mn1-guidance) for
further details:

1.2 State any reference numbers used in your
immigration applications

3.1 State which parent is the one who is a British citizen by descent and on whom this
application is based:
Mother Father
as neither of us are British citizens from descent how should we answer this question please?
also what are the evidences need to be uploaded with form please?

Many Thanks

further details: I believe you need to answer 3(1) as your wife and child are applying together (am assuming your wife is child's mother

1.2 State any reference numbers used in your
immigration applications State reference numbers of visa and ILR application here at the best of your recollection

3.1 State which parent is the one who is a British citizen by descent and on whom this
application is based:
Mother Father
as neither of us are British citizens from descent how should we answer this question please?
also what are the evidences need to be uploaded with form please? answer N/A as it's not your case
