Asking on behalf of someone.
Sorry a bit complicated question.
If a father (British citizen) has been living in Germany from around 6 7 years and didn't visit in UK after moving it. Father renewed his British passport recently in Germany. Father Visited home country and has a child born abroad after citizenship. How he apply British passport for his child living abroad in Pakistan. Mother has been passed away after 4 5 months in home country after the birth of child and legal guardian has been looking after the child.
What's the procedure if someone knows it. Child is around 5 years old now. I will appreciate if someone replies . Ask anything if needs to know something else. thank you so much..

All that matters is was father or mother or both parents British citizen at the time of child's birth, irrespective of where they live.

One thing to note: if child was born abroad to a British citizen "otherwise than by descent" then that child is British "by descent". That means that that child cannot pass on British citizenship to their own child/children born abroad.

Note this has no bearing on the passport application we are discussing here.
