Document Queries - Citizenship Application

Hi All,

I am back to the forum exactly one year after getting my ILR since I am applying for naturalisation as a British citizen now. I had a few doubts regarding the form I wanted to clarify:

In the list of documents generated by the form at the end, it asks for the following things:
a) Ecctis letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched
b) The degree certificate for Mr XXX to prove the level of English language required
Query 1:
Ecctis is the same as NARIC right? I have the certificate from 2018 when I first came on a Tier 2 General Visa. Can I re-use the same certificate? It doesnt mention any expiry date.

Query 2:
On the proof of living in the UK - it says:
If you are a Non-EEA National, you need to include your passport to prove you have lived in the UK for the relevant 3- or 5-year period.
If you do not have your passport or it was not stamped when you entered the UK, you need to include letters (for example, from your employer or government department) as proof.
Bank statements or household bills are not suitable proof you have been living in the UK.
I am a Non-EEA National not married to a British citizen. My passport is always stamped when I enter the UK. Does it mean my passport is sufficient evidence of being in the UK and I don't have to give anything else at all? And should I then scan and upload every page of my passport with stamps as proof of being in the UK? Should I submit anything else (like pension statement or P60 or employer letter) as well?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes you can reuse it. You need to tick the appropriate box that you used it for a previous immigration application then upload it with the rest of the supporting materials.

Upload all passport(s) that cover your qualifying period (eg if your passport expired in 2020 you will need to upload the previous one too to cover the 5 years). As your passport gets stamped that is all the evidence you will need. Scan and upload all pages.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you. This is very useful.

I had a follow-up question on the second point:

There is a question which says:
Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013?

I got the ILR last year but I went back and checked the form - there was no question about knowledge of English requirement. Nor did it ask me for degree/NARIC. At the time, I assumed this is because I had already done that as part of Tier2 General Application.

Should I select yes or no for this question?

answer No and then provide it - worst case scenario explain it in a cover note.

As you have met the English language requirement in the past you still meet. You met the requirement that's why you got ILR.
Provide the NARIC certificate.

Thanks both. Will select No, and provide all the documents.
