Naturalisation for Family on ILR

Hi there!
We are a family of four, my partner, I and two kids (16 years 3 months &12 years 6 months).

We got our ILR following the Tier 3 route (Skill worker) in December 2022 and now we want to know what we need to do to follow the Naturalisation process, I know that I and my partner should apply, we already had to pass the life in the UK test previously to get the ILR.

But I don't know how to do it with my kids, things are really difficult so we've been postponing this due to debts we'd had to get to pay ILR and visas in the past.

So my questions are basically:

- Is it enough to get naturalisation only for me and my partner and our children should get it automatically?
- If not what's the process to follow for our family?

Many thanks!

Kids will not pick up citizenship on the back of your applications. You could add them to your application. Or apply later on form MN1. Personally I would apply for them as well and somehow arrange the finance. Also consider once child is 18 they are adult and need to go through adult naturalization with all the extra cost.
Now you would save on tests and possibly fee hikes.

I would apply for you and spouse and then prioritise 16 yo child, and in a couple of years apply for 12 yo, as there is more time to benefit from the reduced price and hassle of MN1 for them.
