Name on First Passport

Hi,

Applying for my first British passport after naturalisation. The online form asks me to provide my first and middle names.

Now my home country's passport and certificate of naturalisation has the names of my entire lineage (Middle Eastern thing).

I just want to use my first and last name. But this would not match the certificate of naturalisation which has so many middle names. Will that be an issue?

If I add all middle names, will my UK passport list all of them?

For info, the name on my naturalisation certificate and home country passport has the following:
MyName Father Grandfather GreatGrandfather GreatGreatGrandfather LastName

It would be pretty ridiculous if this is what ends up showing on my UK passport. In my home country, that many names is added by law.

A british passport will only be issued in the same name as your foreign pasaport and naturalisation certificate.

You cant choose to change your name in a first british passport without changing your foreign passport first.

Passport Application - Original Documents Missing

I applied for my first British passport. Identity verified, sent original documents consisting of:
- x2 passports.
- Naturalisation certificate.
- Birth certificate.

This was on Thurs 01/03 by first class mail signed for. The address I used was the address provided by the home office on the online application:
HM Passport Office
.................
Three Cherry Trees Lane
Hemel Hempstead
HP2 7HQ

Royal Mail provided the following timeline:
Fri 02/03: Delivery failed; we'll try again tomorrow.
Sat 03/03: We were advised to send this package to a different location; we will attempt delivery on the next working day. No address was stated.
Mon 04/03: Package received and signed for is gibberish, received at 9:05 am.

Documents still showing as not received online. This is substantially longer than what others had experienced between documents delivered and confirmation of receipt. I'm wondering if Royal Mail messed up the delivery and I lost my original documents. I'm at loss as to what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It might be too soon to panic but I'm panicking already. :)

Wait a couple of days. To soon to panic.

I have to ask though, why have you submitted your birth certificate? This is NOT required if you are a naturalised British citizen.

It appears documents are received and the acknowledgement or update of tracking Is done in batches and mot individually for each one received.
Does not mean it is lost, wait a bit.
