Citizenship Application

Hi Administrator,

Please I have some follow up questions:

while completing the citizenship form, I came across these questions:

1) Have you provided evidence of your English language ability in a previous application?
I Answered YES, as I provided IELTS as evidence of English language ability when applying for my 1st tier 2 visa in 2018. I hope this would suffice?

2) Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013?
I also answered YES. I got the ILR last year but I went back and checked the form and there was no question about knowledge of English requirement, Nor did it ask me for degree/IELTS at the time, I assumed this was because I had already submitted it as part of my initial Tier2 General Application.

Should I select yes or no for this question?

3) Do you have a degree that was taught in English?
I also Answered Yes here, I have a degree from a university in Nigeria following which I sat for other qualification exams in the UK with which I registered with professional body in the UK and underwent additional post graduate qualification at the royal college of GP in the UK(not university).
would my Royal college membership certificate or certificate of completion of GP training in the UK suffice as a degree taught in English?
if No, would my degree from Nigeria suffice as this was taught in English ?

4) Finally, the document section listed as one of the documents to be provided "Ecctis letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched"
can I provide my IELTS from 2017 which was used for my 1st tier 2 visa as an alternative to this?

Thanks.

Correct

No as you have already met requirements through other means besides degree, selecting yes brings in confusion

4) Finally, the document section listed as one of the documents to be provided "Ecctis letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched"

This is because you selected Yes in Q3 above
Thanks.

Thanks Administrator for the prompt reply.

Just a follow up question to clarify my answer for question 3.

Do you have a degree that was taught in English?

My correct answer should be No because I already met the requirements through IELTS rather than through degree. Is my interpretation of your answer to question 3 correct?

Thanks

Yes, that is the correct interpretation. Answer No because you are not using it for the application.

Hi Administrator,
Please I would like to check my answer to one of the questions I encountered while completing my citizenship form, I'm not sure if it relates to the character check but the question was logged in that section:

Non-applying dependants
Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?

I answered yes, as my toddler already has British citizenship while my spouse has a tier 2 visa and both wouldn't need to apply with me.

Is my answer correct?

Thanks
