British Citizenship - 3 year residence evidence

Hi All,

Have looked for this on the board but cannot seem to find it.

My wife is applying for Citizenship and requires evidence of 3 years residence. As her new passport doesn't cover the 3 years, we're short on this evidence to show she was present here with no long term absences.

Her old passport wasn't returned when she got a new one, so we cannot submit this unfortunately.

So to fill in a gap of 1 year, can we submit council tax statements for that 1 year period?

Or will it need to be a letter/s from current previous employer/s, P60 documents or wage slips?

Thanks in advance
Stephen

Wife can submit expired passport if she has it, or a council tax bill/P60/letter from employer will also do. Just explain in a cover letter.
