Email to enquire about citizenship application status

Hi,

I applied for UK citizenship about 4 months ago, and I have not yet received a decision/update on my application.

I have seen frequently on here that applicants usually email FNE to ask about the status of their citizenship application, typically around 3 months after applying. There is an assumption that emailing usually speeds up their processing time.

That assumption seems to be verified in the naturalisation processing times forum, where decisions usually seem be given shortly after an email is sent.

My question is, what are people writing in that email?

I would like to write one too, and i just want to make sure i write a "good/useful" one.

Any suggestions on a template for what to send them, i would be really grateful to hear!

Thanks all

My application has been 4 months too and still not receive anything yet.

I asked for an update a month ago, and no reply from FNE.

I think FNE won't necessarily speed up the process but most of the time works like pre-approval.

Not helpful to chase before the 6 months mark. After the six months mark you can try these actions british-citizenship/6-months-plus-waiti ... 43483.html
