Form MN1 - birth certificate translation

I am planning to apply for my daughter to have British citizenship under section 3(2) using form MN1. I need to provide a number of documents, including her birth certificate which is in cyrillic - ie not in English and not using Latin alphabet. Do I need to provide a translation, and if so, is there a specific process for this? eg apostile, legalised, translated by whom / where...

Thanks.

You do have to translate it. Not sure what's the process that has to be followed (if any) - other members will advise.

Hello, as meself2 pointed out, you will indeed need a translation, but not just any translation. You will need a certified translation, otherwise it may be rejected. You can either browse the official online directories and contact several certified translators, or go through a specialised translation agency.

The advantage of translation agencies is that they offer a wide range of languages and save you time, but they are often more expensive.
