Hi
Does careless driving offence affect naturalisation? I was found guilty by court. Even thoigh it was not my fault but circumstances lead to me being prosecuted.
thanks

Yes you need to declare it as there is a judgement against you.

Thanks
Does it result in 3 year ban from naturalisation? Or it may or may not affect the application negatively?

It depends on the whole context of your good character. if this is your only offence and you were given a fine which you paid you should be fine. There is no such thing as a 3 year ban on naturalisation, the good character requirement has changed but I am not aware on any rule that specifies 3 years (there are other issues that would make one have to wait or potentially become ineligible).

Hi there,
Could you please advise with an update? Did you end up applying with the conviction and if so, did it affect your naturalisation application?
Also in a similar boat here so would be really helpful to hear back from you.

Hi, it won't affect your British citizenship if it's the only offence you committed. I had 6 points given in court last year using a mobile phone and my application got approved few weeks ago. As long as it's the only offence you got you will be ok.
