I sent an email to FNE last month because i thought my wife nationality application decision is late compare to what i am seeing here which are Jan 24
applications are get decided now. My wife submitted her application in November 23( Made an error in my previous post wrote September 23) . From November 2023 till today no decision. Few days back they sent us this reply upon enquiry. " Thank you for your email
Your application is currently progressing through the system as normal; applications are currently taking approx. 6 months to process.
We will contact you should we require any further information or once a decision has been made.

Yes - absolutely normal. It's a standard email, you are just under 6 months.
Whilst they have a processing target of 6 months it's not a guarantee. You should not read anything into it except they are running slow.
