MN1 application for a child

Hi everyone,

I am filling MN1 application for my daughter, 2 yo, and would like to clarify one of the sections in the form. Under declaration, following two options are provided
I confirm that:
1. I am the applicant
2. I am a representative of the applicant and have been authorised to act on their behalf and have discussed and confirmed the contents of this application with them

Q1 I am a little confused if I should select option 2 or option 1 is appropriate as HO knows a parent is applying on child's behalf.

Q2 My second question is regarding the referees - one of her nursery teacher (british citizen, less than 25 yo) has signed the form as referee-2, but she knows my daughter only for a year. Would that be acceptable?

Many thanks in advance!

Q1. But the child is the applicant so it’s option 1 as far as I know. Option 2 is normally for using a solicitor.

Thanks both. On question 1, there seems to be a contradiction. Shall I go with option 1 then.

#1 is fine (never seen a complaint about that), the child is the applicant (all questions are worded to that effect) - second otions is for professional advisers.
