Naturalisation Refused. Appeal. Timelines?
Posted: Fri Apr 19, 2024 9:53 pm
Hi
The home office have refused my naturalisation application.
Previously, biometric permit card didn't work and 12months ago the home office issued me with a new one.
I have sent an appeal letter with evidence of my original BMP card which was issued when I received my Indefinite Leave to Remain 4 years ago + the current card that I had submitted in my naturalisation application.
I sent an appeal 08/04/2024
I phoned on 15 / 04 / 2024 to ask if I would receive an email confirmation of my appeal - the answer was no, only an email or in the post about the decision.
The fee of £372 has been taken from my account today 19 / 04 / 24
MY QUESTION: Does anyone have guidance or experiences on how long the appeal process takes? My perception is this is a clerical error which hopefully is easy to rectify [I'm also hoping my appeal fee will be refunded].
