I know claiming benefits is not seen kindly during immigration applications (no recourse to public funds etc).
but my wife already got ILR and going to apply for BC soon. but we are thinking of claiming child benefits.
will it affect her application in anyway please?
thanks

No issue for naturalisation - it's not an immigration application - there are no specific financial requirements.
ILR holders are entitled to claim child benefit.

You can claim benefits after you have ILR. it won't impact a registration application for your child.

Sorry I should have said naturalisation as the application is for your wife not your child.
Note that a child having a UK birth certificate isn't the same as your child being British.
