Hi all, I made another id my previous one not working. Wife applied in Nov 2023 and now Six months complete and no decision. Followed all the steps mention here emails and complaints except SAR. Went to see MP. His Assistant met and said because election is recall so we lost all our powers after election we will write to HO. Is he right for saying this? Is anyone else still waiting for their Nationality decision around this time? I think we are the few unfortunate whose application with one particular case worker who is taking ages to decide each application. Not Fair :(

Unfortunately your wife is not the only one ... plenty of other reports of 6 months+ ...

Regarding your point on the power of MPs - the assistant is right, parliament is dissolved there are currently no elected MPs. Also understand MPs don't have power over the Home Office, they can contact them on your behalf but can't compel them to act. Also remember that a lot of MPs won't make it in the election, or don't stand in the first place.

Your wife is not the only one waiting. You could try to request a SAR and when you receive a reply to your complaint keep escalating. Hopefully you will receive a decision before the 4 July, else you will be able to find your new MP and keep following up through them.

Hello dear members, I received reply to my wife complaint with standard reply checks continue etc etc, at the end they write, you can request a review of our response. 1. Anyone can guide please what is new can be added to this letter for the review team? Or a normal delay email is ok. 2. when should i write to ICE ? Now Or After heard back from the review team? 3. If i apply for SAR, Is it Free? or need payment and how much? Does SAR application required documents needs attestation from a lawyer Or approved charity?

1. I think you would need to ask for more detailed information rather than stock email and you are not happy with the response , Others can clarify
2. ICE is after the response for the review
3. SAR is free and you can fill the form online, You will need to sent photo ID and a cover letter in an email or post check https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... mmigration
