Seeking Guidance on English Assessment Requirement for Naturalization

Hello everyone,

In 2015, I received Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK after transitioning from a Tier 1 to a Tier 2 visa. At the time, I passed the "Life in the UK" test and believe my English proficiency was recognized through my master's degree from abroad and an IELTS exam I completed in 2010.

I am now preparing to apply for naturalization and understand that my previous "Life in the UK" test results are still valid. However, I am uncertain about the current requirements for proving English proficiency for the naturalization process. Can anyone confirm if a new English assessment is needed, or if my past qualifications still suffice?

Thank you for any insights you can provide!

Best regards,
Sam

If you proved your English for ILR in 2015 then you can rely on that for naturalisation - tick the appropriate option in the application form, so a new test/assessment should not be required.
