Letter from Home Office asking to confirm city of Birth

Hello, could you please help me figure this out.
In April I submitted documents for naturalization. In June I received a letter from home.office.atlas@notifications.service.gov.uk stating
“Thank you for your application.
can you confirm your City of birth.
Please send this to the following address: nationalityfurtherinformationrequests@homeoffice.gov.uk

I sent an answer to the specified email, but a month later I received another letter with the same question.
Does this mean that my first letter was “lost” and they did not receive my response and is it possible to somehow check whether they received my response to a repeated letter from them.

We can't tell you what happened with your first reply and why they are sending a letter .... we don't have insight on how their internal processes work.

However, I would suggest you immediately re-send the email AND send a letter by post office mail (with proof of delivery "Special Delivery"), confirming the details. Also include a copy of the email.
