British Citizenship Granted After Almost 3 Years of Wait!

Not sure if I am supposed to start a new topic for this or just post in some other thread.
Me and my wife applied for naturalisation in November 2021.We have gone through Tier 1 entrepreneurial route and after 5 years applied and received our ILRs within a few months, without any problems. Then after a year we applied for our naturalisation documents. We thought it would be a straight forward procedure but we had to wait for almost 3 YEARS!!!
In the meantime we:
- Wrote general emails to HO every 2-3 months after first 6 months of the application
- Wrote a comprehensive email to HO explaining our situation in detail
- Asked 2 MPs (we moved areas during the wait) to write to HO
- Asked lawyers to write a complaint letter
- In the last three months we asked lawyers to send a pre-action letter threatening legal action
The response was always the same. "External checks are being carried out and no decision has been made yet. Naturalisation process is not automatic.bla bla bla"
We received our invitation to ceremony about 2 weeks ago!
I honestly don't know what helped and if it helped, but just writing for those of you who are in a similar situation, because this forum helped me a lot. Don't give up hope! It's frustrating, confusing and upsetting but it will most probably be alright in the end.
