Hi
Everyone, My wife and Child are British and i am on the 10 year rule applying for ILR my question is can i apply for Naturalization asap after i get the ILR or do i have to wait for 1 year?
(my Solicator saying only people on the 5 year rule can apply for naturalization at once without waiting for 1 year after they get the ILR) but the gov.uk website saying if your partner is british you don't have to wait for 1 year.

Please don’t tag on to an unrelated thread!!!!
Why are you paying a solicitor for wrong advice???
What matters is that you have ILR however you qualified for it. If your spouse is British you can apply immediately once you have obtained ILR.
You don’t need a solicitor- do the application yourself.

all thats happening and you know home office rules keeps on changing all the time.
like i have been trying to find out about the Naturalization after 10 years on family route..is it 12 months or instant like in case of 5 years
I have a friend told me yeastarday who was on 5 years route that ILR is categorized as well and in 10 years route you have to wait for 1 year more for naturalization.

All that counts is that you have ILR - whichever route was taken!
Please study the AN Guidance issued by the Home Office:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-guidance
Make sure you understand that - and it certainly doesn't talk about 5 or 10 years route ....
Naturalisation isn't immigration and the basic rules for that have not changed significantly.
And please don't be confused by what "people", even solicitors, tell you.
We constantly refer people to the guidance, for a reason.

Route to ILR doesn't matter for naturalisation. You need to wait 12 months after your ILR grant, no matter how much the total time you lived in the UK is, unless you are married to a British citizen.
