Citizenship ceremony inv email but no Home office email

Hello all,
I have today received an email from my council to attend a citizenship ceremony; however, I did not receive any email from the Home Office. I checked my spam folder. Is it normal to receive a ceremony invitation from the council before receiving an email from the Home Office with the decision? I am really happy if this is the case. Also, if anybody has experience with Manchester City Council, how quickly do they offer private ceremonies?
I also want to express my gratitude for all the support I have received from this forum for over a decade now. Thank you!

It’s normal-relax. You are approved that’s why the council has your certificate!
It’s normal for the home office email to come later. Most councils won’t insist to have that email. In that case bring your id/ passport.

Suggest you ask the council if they need to see the official email. My council wanted it in print on the day if the ceremony. It does happen that sometimes you get communication from the council before than the HO.

Thanks a lot for your re assurances and advice. I have now recieved home office email and have everything in order for my citizenship ceremony which I have booked for 15th october.
Just over 8 weeks from the application date, I can finally see the finish line. Having been in the UK for 21 years, this has been an emotional journey for me. I thought that given my long and overstay history, this process would take longer, but it was much easier. I hope all of you waiting get your answers soon.
