I was given a verbal warning/advice by police for moving traffic offence.
I was at a signal lights accessing sat nav on my phone.I was stopped by police and I was given a verbal warning.
I requested DSAR with police, on which this event was captured as “Stop and Account” nature of event. This happened in September. I want to check how this impacts my British citizenship application due now.
In July I was given a speed awareness course for speeding too.
No other traffic offence or any other offence throughout my life in UK or overseas.

Nothing to disclose.
You have not received a ticket/points, nor been taken to court, for both issues.
The speed awareness course doesn't have to be disclosed (not even to your insurance) - it's not a penalty, you were lucky, next time it will be fine and points (I know ...).

Thank you. Verbal warning is on the DSAR report. That should be declared isn’t? Are you aware of any applications which were in my situation or similar situation ?

I believe it doesn't need to be declared because it's just a written record, you have not been given a formal caution or warning, these should have been in writing. Also it's odd they created a record without you knowing of it's existence.

But you are free to declare of course, this will/should not affect your application - I understand you are concerned because of good character aspect. Reports of refusals due to traffic violations are very rare, generally only if there were frequent violations, court appearances, fines not being paid, etc.

It won't affect your application if it is the only instance you had of offending, but you can declare it for peace of mind.

There are 2 instances one is July speed awareness and other one is verbal warning. Solicitor is quoting 1800 pounds to file my application with cover letter.

You don't need to declare any of those, as advised it won't affect the decision.

No need to include any cover letter. The application for naturalisation is very simple and straightforward.

Hiring a solicitor for this is a waste of money, but that's your choice I guess.

Thank you. If I need to hire solicitor I need to wait for few more months before I can apply as I dont have that much spare cash.
Just very anxious about these police records. I have been in uk for 13 years, driving since 7 years I have always followed rules. These 2 were very unfortunate ones which have impacted me mentally a lot. I hope these dont impact me.

No need to be anxious about that, and no need to spend money that you don't have in a solicitor either.

A speed awareness course is not a recordable motoring offence. The same letter you received when this occurred says so.

The speed awareness does not impact. But verbal warning for moving traffic offense on mu DSAR report is the main problem. As it is a caution that needs to be declared?

That is a grey area. Possibly not, but if you want to be safe you can declare it. As I said earlier unlikely to impact your application as it was your only episode of receiving a warning.
