Hi Gurus/ Moderators,
Many thanks for your support so far
I recently received approval on my ILR application for myself and my kid after completing 5 years on dependant visa.
I applied for eVisa and settled status is visible however child evisa status is still showing pending for the last few days (I was told there were glitches when it was rolled out initially but it should have been smoother by now)
My wife is British citizen and I have settled status now.
I was previously advised that my child and I need not wait for another 1 year post ILR before we apply for citizenship. Please confirm again.
Considering that evisa statis for my child is pending for last so many days (don't know if it's a technical glitch or just pending), please advise if I can still submit MN1 for my child without valid eVisa 'settled' status?
Is there anywhere in the MN1 application do I need to reference evisa share code? or that's irrelevant now?
Thanks

Yes..

No. or that's irrelevant now?
E-Visa is just the digital version of status/ILR - your child has ILR just use the BRP or email granting status.
Thanks

Many Thanks alterhase58 for your quick reply!
I & child have not been been issued any BRP- so I believe when you say reference email, you mean using my ILR application reference number written on the approval email?
Thanks

I assume the ILR email for your child will show a ref. number, if not just attach the email.
And quote the application ref. Just double checking, child (and wife) now hold ILR?

ILR approved email quotes the application reference number that was submitted (set o). It just states that your application has been successful and there is no mention of BRP and just below statements.

Proving your immigration status
You can keep this written notice for your personal records.
You should now create a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account to enable you to access your eVisa and prove your UK immigration status (your permission to stay). Information on how to do this is in the βnext stepsβ section.

I & child received ILR approval email last week post PBS dependent visa.
Thanks

Submit a PDF version of the ILR email and explain in a cover note that the eVisa status still shows as pending.

Hello Gurus,
Just started to fill MN1 for my child.
My wife acquired BC post ILR. My child (born outside UK) & I have acquired ILR last week.
Kindly confirm what options to select in the form based on scenario:
Scenario 1. If I am applying for naturalisation - what option to choose within child MN1
Scenario 2. If I am NOT applying for naturalisation at the moment - what option to choose within child MN1
Consideration under British Nationality Act
a) you were born outside UK - CHECKED
b) SUB SECTION
1. your parent is British by descent & you and your parents are now living in UK
2. One or both parents is applying for BC
3. OTHER- apply at discretion of home secretary
Also, do I need to submit my naturalisation application first and then submit MN1 or vice versa is also ok?

If you are applying for naturalisation complete your application first and then you will be given the option to add another applicant - once you select it is your child the form will automatically become the MN1 template. for this situation the correct option is 2, if you don't apply now you need to select option 3.

Hi All,
While filling the Naturalisation form there is a question about "when did you first arrive in the UK?"
I arrived in UK on multiple occasions and hence little confusion. Request to kindly help.
Visa Status background
Aug, 2012 - Jul, 2013 - UK ICT Short term visa
2013-2014 - cooling off
Dec, 2014 - Sep,2015 - UK ICT Short term visa
Nov, 2015 - Nov, 2019 - UK ICT Long term visa (IN COUNTRY UK APPLICATION)
Nov, 2019 --> switched to become wife's dependant (IN COUNTRY UK APPLICATION)
Nov'2019 - Nov-2024 - Dependant visa(s)
Dec'2024 - ILR
For ILR application, I had used Nov'2019 as that was the basis to complete 5 years and also we thought to remain permanent here and hence switched to become dependant on wife's Tier 2 general visa. Wife started Tier2 general in Nov'2015.

Thanks contorted_svy!
I was also thinking of the same considering I have stayed from Nov'2015 onwards continuously without any visa break though on different categories. I suppose this is a citizenship application so presume that different visa categories should not matter.

As I said most likely won't make a difference, they should be able to check your records. Do provide as much detail as you can find.

Hello,
I have submitted the citizenship application. It now ask me to submit the proof of ILR and proof of living doc.
Questions:
1. proof of ILR - what proof would need to be submitted since I did not receive any BRP post ILR and also BRP would not be valid post Dec'24. Will home office email be sufficient?
2. proof of living doc - would last 3 years of Gas & Electricity bills be sufficient?
Thanks

For proof of residence supply a copy of all pages of your passport. For ILR submit the URN of your application and email from the HO, that should suffice.
