Received email from UKIV to fill a short survey regarding experience of application process but no update from home

Hi All,

My wife and two kids (under 18) applied for naturalisation on 20th October 2024, and they attended their biometric appointment on 5th November. Since then, we haven’t received any updates.

However, today my wife received an email from UKVI asking her to fill out a short survey about her experience with the application process. The survey included questions about the timeline for receiving the British nationality certificate and the citizenship ceremony.

My question is:
• Has anyone experienced this before?
• Could this email indicate that a decision has been made, even though we haven’t received an official update yet?
• Or is it possible this was sent by mistake?

I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions.

Thank you!

This has been reported by members before. It could be an error, or you could have effectively been approved and the official email will follow. A way to check is to contact your council and ask if they received your ceremony certificate.
