Hi

I am an Indian citizen.
I came to the UK on 7th Feb 2019 on General Tier 2 visa for two years
My wife never came to the UK.
I got divorce in Nov 2020. It is during COVID times. So I had to request for a skype call for divorce hearing. My wife at that time was a habitual Indian resident (Indian national). I was on skilled worker visa in the UK at the time of hearing.
Because I could not get the divorce decree document in the UK, i could not remove my ex-wife name from my Indian passport at that time.
Later between 2021 and 2023 ( I got global talent visa in 2023), I have applied for two visa extensions and I HAD TO MENTION THAT I AM MARRIED. This is because I did not have the divorce decree So my Ex-wife name still existed in my Indian passport at that time. There was no way to prove that I was divorced. So I had to do that for the visa application.

Towards the end of 2023, I got the divorce decree and I then removed my ex-wife name from my Indian passport.

I have applied for ILR in 2024 mentioning that I am divorced. Hence all the records were set right for my ILR application. I got the ILR in Feb 2024.

I recently married in India. I got my wife's name in my Indian passport now.

I am eligible for naturalization in Feb 2025 hence I am going to apply for the same in Feb 2025. In the naturalization application, I will mention that I was divorced in 2020 and give the details of my Ex-wife. I will also give the details of my current marital status.

MY DOUBT IS
Should I write a letter and enclose it along with my naturalisation application that I had to mention that I was married even though was got divorced for two skilled worker visa applications? I did not mention it intentionally and my marriage was not the basis on which I got the skilled worker, global talent visa.

Does my case result in rejection of my citizenship application?

Please advice...........

thanks in advance

You don't need to disclose this - the application is just about you.
Applications are refused primarily for statutory reasons (British Nationality Act), not for making mistakes somewhere in your immigration history. Naturalisation is not just another immigration application.
