Citizenship approval inquiry

Hi everyone,

I received my citizenship approval email on January 29, which stated that I should wait for an invitation to my citizenship ceremony. However, today I received another email from Home Office Atlas, saying that I need to complete biometric enrolment as part of my citizenship application.

The email states:

“As part of your online application, you were informed that you would receive this reminder letter if you had not attended an appointment and enrolled your biometrics within 45 working days. Our records show that you have failed to comply with this instruction, without providing us with a reasonable explanation.”

I’m confused because I already provided my biometrics when I submitted my application. I was just waiting for my ceremony invitation.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice on what I should do?

System Error?

If you have already been approved then that email is meaningless.
Have you been in touch with the council to chase the invitation/booking?

I am hoping it is an error. It has taken me 3 years to get this approval email. I cant go through another process.

No, i have not contacted the council yet. I thought to wait until Monday. Online booking doesn’t have booking details.

Try contacting the council and see what they say, they should have your certificate by now.

Yes, I agree. Definitely call your council. A lot of them don't send an invite and you need to call to book.
