I have ILR. I am applying for the British citizenship for my 2 year old child (MN1).
I could not find a suitable 1st referee as both GP and health visitors refused.
So I have to find a family friend who is a professional standing referee.
In this case, can the 1st referee be a secretary (project administrator) in a university?

I have submitted a fee waiver applicaiton for (registering a child under 18 years old as a British citizen).
When I submitted the application, I received a confirmation email which mentions:
"You must provide your fingerprints and a photo of your face. You will receive a letter explaining how and where to do this"
But there is no option for booking an appointment with the visa applicaiton centre for biometic enrollment?

So in this case, does my daughter have to provide her fingerprints and a photo?
Sorry but I am confused.
I thought if the fee waiver application is successful, then I will be given a tocken, then I have to make MN1 applicaiton in which my daughter has to provide her fingerprints and a photo...

Wait for a letter, then ask for clarification if you don't receive it is my best guess. Not sure if biometrics are needed for a fee waiver application.

I am raising this question again, hoping for an answer please.
I have ILR, I made a fee waiver application for registering my daughter who is under 18 as a British citizen (MN1).

Why my daughter has to provide a photo and her fingerprints for a fee waiver application?
Please check if you received the same in your fee waiver application (if you did it before)

There is no point in asking the same question again. Moderators read the forum every day, if we know the answer we offer it. I already advised to be patient and wait for a letter then email them to follow up.

Thank you very much. It is just because I am confused why I am the only one who are asked to provide a fingerprint for an online fee waiver application...

We don't get many cases of fee waiver applications.

Fee waivers for MN1 have been introduced recently so very few members have this kind of experience, and most people don't come back to report on their experience.

I am applying for the British citizenship for my daughter (MN1 form). Since the health visitor preferred not to sign the referee declaration form. I am going to ask my work colleagues (family friends) for help. Is it fine if the two referees work within the same university (lecturers)? They both are not related to each other personally. But they both work within the same university. Is this acceptable please?

Related means "by blood or marriage" - friends, colleagues, etc are fine.
In my case I had two referees, same company, both colleagues working with me and each other.
