This query asking on someone behalf.

If someone have british passport through ILR and british citizenship certificate never used their british passport and now thinking to travel first ever time and will be using british passport how they can check before they book tickets all okay with their British passport there is no online service to check your passport details?

If you have a passport look at it and check validity.
There's no other way or portal to check. Not using your passport for a long time is no issue, as long as it stays valid.
What would you actually check ???

I have checked his passport it's valid for good years.

He read on Internet HMPO can cancel your passport in error electronically he has health condition gets worried for those kinds of things because I used this website few times i thought to check here if any online portal available to verify like you check driving licence etc.

I will tell him he doesn't need to worry and plan his travel peacefully.

I have checked passport expiry online

Which link did you use?

I am not sure which link he used to search that information but he said it was on government website. Where he read it.

My question is he doesn't need to worry about it?

No need to worry, if the expiry date on his passport is still far in the future. I am not aware of any such service for checking a document is valid.
