Query for kids born outside UK and MN1 under section 3(1)

I have 3 kids, one is born in the UK, and two born outside the UK. All kids are below 18. My wife and I will have lived in the UK for 10 years by April 2026 along with 2 kids who were born outside the UK.

My wife and I will be applying for ILR in February 2026.

I wanted to check:

1. Can we apply for direct naturalisation/citizenship instead of applying for ILR for the two kids born outside the UK under section 3(1) of the MN1 form once they complete 10 years in the UK?
2. Can we apply for all 3 kids together under the MN1 form, using separate forms for each of the kids?

Kids born outside the UK need ILR before they can apply.

While this is indeed the default rule, there is an exception for children who have lived in the UK for 10 years.
Discretionary applications under Section 3(1) wrote:If a child has lived in the UK for more than 10 years you must normally register the child if the expectations below about lawful residence and parents’ status are met, in addition to the good character requirement.
This is an alternative route to the other two routes where the parents and children must all have at least ILR.
