Just from curiosity - at what time of the process this question is asked

Hello all,

This question is just from curiosity and most probably only people that have worked in UKVI would be able to answer.

In the beginning of March I submitted my applications for British Citizenship and yesterday I received the following:
We note that you have provided us with your national passport which shows your name as XXX however, a deed poll issued in AAAA no shows your name as YYY. Can you please advise what name you would like to continue your application with.
The question is - where in the application processing is that? I can see it to be one of the first steps but also can see it as one of the last steps.

Kind regards

We don't really know I am afraid. How do you know it is supposed to be one of the first steps (other than a logic guess)?

I expected that only people worked in UKVI could answer this question. And yes it's my logic that tells me it should be in the beginning or at the end of the process. However I could be very wrong.

I don't think that we have any forum members that work for UKVI.
