British Citizenship Application

Hello,

I would be very grateful for your help with a few questions:

- My husband is a naturalised British citizen, do I still only need to provide my travel history for the past three years?

- Can my husband act as one of my referees?

- If I submit bank statements and payslips for the past three years, do I still need to provide the "dated and signed letter from an employer confirming the duration of UK-based employment"? If so, is there a template available for this?

Thank you very much in advance,
Emma

YES - your husband being naturalised has no bearing on the requirement. Note that applications are individual, there's no dependent or family concept for naturalisation, which is not an immigration application.
- Can my husband act as one of my referees?
NO - referees cannot be related to applicant through blood or marriage.
- If I submit bank statements and payslips for the past three years, do I still need to provide the "dated and signed letter from an employer confirming the duration of UK-based employment"? If so, is there a template available for this?
NO - there's NO requirement to submit all suggested documents. Only a minimum of documents is required. Note that statements are not accepted. Ideally use your P60 for each year. That's sufficient.
Thank you very much in advance,
Emma
