Lost Naturalisation Certificate

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am naturalized British citizen and i have kid is born in UK. Do i need my naturalization certificate?
I have lost naturalization certificate and would like to apply for duplicate certificate.
however I don't know the date of naturalization. how to get this date?

You have no paperwork at all regarding your naturalisation?
Do you know the date you attended the council's ceremony?
That would be the date on the certificate. Try to contact the council's registry office.

yes i don't have any paperwork and any ceremonial details. I have contacted local council where i took ceremony. i think this will take sometime.
is the passport issue date same as ceremonial date or its different?

Passport issued date is the date the passport is printed. Different to ceremony date and the date on your certificate.
Note that it is the certificate that is proof of ypur citizenship and is a very important document. When you get a replacement, keepnet safe, like you would a birth certificate.
