Help and advice needed

Hi, everyone.
I'm planning to submit my naturalisation application again in September. I received a refusal letter back in 2020, but it mentioned that I could likely be successful on September 16, 2025. The reason for the initial refusal was that I served a three-week prison sentence in 2015, and according to the rules before 2023, I had to wait ten years before I could reapply. Now, with the law having changed, I'm not sure what my chances are.
Most solicitors I have spoken with can't take my case at the moment due to a backlog. And the ones that can are charging anywhere from £3000 to £5000; that's not including the naturalisation fees.
I have read most of the replies on here; it just seems I need to write a cover letter explaining all my convictions.
Any tips and advice are welcomed. Thanks in advance for your
