Travelling after ceremony

Hi, I hope you are all well. I am in a dilemma and I am getting conflicting advice I still do not know what to do. My British Ceremony is coming up soon, it took me 2 months to find the earliest appointment and as you all know I had to book the ceremony within 3 months otherwise the Home Office will likely revoke my certificate of naturalisation. The problem I have is that I already booked a family holiday to Turkey few weeks after the ceremony. I was told by some that I can send coloured copy of my foreign passport when applying for British passport instead of sending the original. I enquired about that with the passport services and they clearly said that we need your original passport and that they do not accept copies. So if I decide to travel I will apply for British passport after coming back from holiday. My question is: If I travel with my current Tunisian passport to Turkey after naturalisation will I have a problem? Will I be stopped by the airline either going or coming back? I paid a lot of money for this holiday but at the same time I do not want to do anything silly. Thank you all for your help

Yes it may cause issues as you may be denied boarding - as a British citizen you don't have a valid immigration status anymore.

When is your ceremony and when are you leaving? Can you ask to attend an earlier ceremony, maybe a private one? Current processing times for passports are around 3 weeks, many people get theirs a lot faster.
