Hello,

I am applying for British Citizenship after 10 years of ILR. I have a PhD from Canada (Ontario) and previously when I applied for ILR, I used that to satisfy English Language requirement (without NARIC/ Ecctis letter- demonstrated using point based calculator that that time).

My query is that given this was accpeted at that time, do I need to apply for ECCTIS letter or can I add a clarification in a cover letter?

You will need an ECCTIS letter.

Thank you! I decided to take the Trinity B1 Exam- Faster and probably easier (happy to chat for 10 minutes or more).

Agreed, I had a degree I could have potentially used and chose to take the exam instead.
