Expired but earlier used English Certification for Citizenship application

Hello friends, appreciate your advice please. I am applying for UK citizenship (naturalisation) and got a query on meeting the English requirements.

In Sep 2020, I applied for Tier 2 General. For its English requirement, I successfully passed the PTE Academic UKVI test in Sep'20 - a valid English Test. The test certificate explicitly mentioned that it was valid for 2 years only i.e. till Sep 2022. In November 2021, I successfully applied for ILR (10-year route) and I used the same English Certificate in my ILR application to meet English requirement. The test certification had not expired then and I received my ILR.

Now for my UK Citizenship application in Oct 2025, can I use the same English test certificate that I used earlier for ILR and Tier2 (General) applications, even when the certificate has expired?

Many thanks!

Yes, explain in a cover letter that you have used it for your previous visa applications that led to ILR.

Thank you so much 'contorted_svy'. Great, so I can still use the expired certificate. I will explain that in the cover letter that it was used one previous application of Tier 2 General (not used before that though as I was on Tier 2 ICT).
