Hello, I have moved to the UK in 2019 as a dependent on my husband's global talent visa. My husband has got his ILR in 2022 and UK citizenship in 2025. I have got my ILR in Sep 2024. I am now planning to apply for the UK citizenship this month and I see two options for me:
1. If you’re married to or in a civil partnership with a British citizen
2. If you have indefinite leave to remain (ILR)

Could you please suggest which one is the most relvent to my situation?

#1 - you will only have to prove absences etc for the past three years of residency (worked back from the application date)

However, #2 is also possible, applying in your own right, but requires 5 years of residency, absences, etc. An option if your 3 years absences are excessive perhaps.

The result is the same either way, British citizenship.
