[Advice needed] Tax paperwork for Naturalsation

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help advise on my citizenship application.

I need to declare my employment status within the UK and provide corresponding paperwork, and I'm not sure what is best. In essence:

1. The form asks for my employment status: I am currently self employed, and have noted this down.
2. As a result, it asks me to provide the "most recent tax year account statement and corresponding HMRC tax return as proof of self-employment". My issue is with point 2 as I don't have much paperwork to show due to my personal situation. I explain this in detail below:

- I applied for my UTR when I started freelancing in FY 2018/19 and filed taxes accordingly.
- From April 2019 to March 2025, I worked full time for one company.
- From March 2025 to April 2026, I have not generated income or worked for health reasons.
- From April 2026 until now, I have started working on a contractual / consultant basis for that same company. but will obviously not be filing or declaring income until April 2027.
- I am applying for naturalisation July 2026
- Also for reference, my 5 year qualifying period: 2 July 2021 - 2 July 2026

What would be the best way to address this situation in my case?

Thank you all for your support.

Best,

Best you explain the situation in a covering note, giving the details above, load with your other documents.
It's not an issue as (self)employment is not a pre-requisite for naturalisation.
