Elgibility of UK born Child for BC in future

Hi,
I know the registration process of a UK born child has been addressed on this forum quite many times and also available on UKBa site though couldn't find out info that I'm looking for. FYI, I have also looked at the sticky from f2k on child registration.

My question is - If a child is born in UK, parents get ILR few months after child's birth though don't apply for BC for anyone and return to their home country after few months. In this situation, can that child still apply for BC in the future (after 4-5 years or more, being away from UK)?

Would appreciate if anyone can provide any information or link on this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If both (non-British) parents loses their ILR, then their child will cease to be entitled to British citizenship under section 1(3).
