Good Charachter requirement question

Regarding naturalisation application (as the spouse of a UK citizen), what is the effect of this scenerio:

Applicant would have flawless charachter factors, but for a single s172 Road Traffic Act offence which is failing to name the driver on a speeding allegation (no charge or conviction for speeding, but only for failing to name the driver as it was not possible to determine which of the spouses were driving). Apparently, it is an an 'unreported' offence that doesn't come up on CRB and maybe considered a simple minor regulatory offence, but not sure.

Does anyone know the effect of s172 RTA offences, and how to best deal with it on an application? Thanks!

any thing for which you have to the court and then convicted of the charge then i think you need to declare that ....you can also explain further in a covering letter the details ...

not sure how they take it ...all depends on the case worker mind set at that time though ....
