When did you first arrive in the UK? Brief UK immigration history?

How can you possibly apply for Naturalisation in May if the 1 year on ILR does not happen until June?

1) You should have ILR for a minimum of exactly 1 year (not even 1 day less) before you can apply fot british citizenship.

2) Applying via the NCS or not is entirely your choice. However, it is advisable to apply via the NCS as this will make sure your application form has been correctly filled in and that all the correct documents are sent. Addition benefit is that your documents (passports, other proofs etc) will be returned back to you.

3) If you download the AN form, you'll find the list of documents needed there.

All the best of luck with your application.

I believe R intended to say 'applying via the NCS is entirely your choice'
