How long for British Citizenship after ILR

Hello, need some advice. I am a British Citizen, my wife holds a non-British Passport. We have been married for over 10 years. We moved to the UK in June 2007 on a settlement Visa. My wife has since passed the Life in UK test and been issued with ILR (UK Resident Permit) in June 2009. How soon can she apply for her British Citizenship and what is the exact procedure ? Will appreciate whatever assistance we can get on this forum.

According to our immigration agent who did our ILR, we were informed that my wife had been issued with a wrong settlement (spouse) visa. We had appealed against that after we arrived and a correction was done and we immediately applied for ILR thereafter and got it. Would this make any difference on how long she would have to wait to apply for Citizenship? Are any negative changes expected to the 3 year rule in the coming months?

Did you get any money back, you;ve had to pay for an extra visa u didn't need?

Changes are expected but in July 2011 so no effect here.

Just line up and pay! It's another wallet-stinger, £680 or so plus £40 or so for the ceremony...

No, refunds were given, but we were just glad that we could apply for ILR immediately thereafter. I guess our agent should have informed us that we could claim for a refund.

What kind of a citizenship application will this be, naturalisation or registration?

Thanks for your help.
