I presume that you are British Citizen by birth and hence your daughter is also british citizen. Your daughter born in India can apply for british passport at Britsih mission in India. As far as I know, if a child is born in India then you will require an "exit permit" from Indian "ministry of home affairs". I know this use to be the case many years ago, and I think that would still be the case. This is to prevent child trafficking.
