Hi Guys,

I got ILR with my wife and daughter(1 year old) last week. Can I apply for her registeration now rather than wait for 1 year for our citizenship and then apply all three together?

If I apply now what are the benefits?I read some where that to apply her now will be less expensive than applying later?

What will be her extra benefits if she is registered?

Thanks in Advance

Chid, as the child was born in the UK, yes, it is now possible to apply to Register the child as British. The application under section 1(3) is an entitlement application .... no UKBA discretion involved, and such applications are usually dealt with in under one month.

Use form MN1.

Are there any other children, who were born outside the UK?

Benefits now ILRs issued? Obviously an entitlement to claim Child Benefit, and also Tax Credits unless family income is nicely over £50K per year.
