No referee

I was trying to contact my referees as I am due to apply for citizenship through marriage with BC.
All the people I contacted sofar agreed initially and when I went with the form they refused.My GP refused aswell
What should I do?I dont think I know anybody anymore

you have to keep looking until you find someone.
one of the requirements is that you are of good character and failure to provide adequate referees could be seen at to suggest that you not

There's no question about my character at all...the problem being I got married,moved cities and with baby etc havent been out a lot ealier.
The ones who know me now,know me for past 1-2 yrs or so.
Guess I have to try my past friends,the ones I knew prior to my marriage.
This is so hard!

dont get me wrong i wasnt questioning your character. all i meant is that if you told HO that you cannot find referees that would raise suspicous.
You may need to get in touch with the people who knew from 3 years ago.
i may not about referee residing in channel islands

I found 2(4 in fact !) referees one is indian engineer other is british
It wasnt that difficult.....was suprised at the number of people willing to help.....one just needs to ask.....cheers

Oh Ok someone said that indian bachelors of degree in engineering is not the recognized for referees so i have been trying to arrange referees (though i still have few months before i can apply). I would be interested about your referees and outcome of application. please keep us posted
