Dear All

Do we have to wait 12m after ILR to apply for the naturalization? can we not use the time we spent living on Student visa before getting work permit?

Please see link from UKBA below

There are multiple conditions that you have to satisfy.

Time spent as a student may be included for the residential requirements.

However, unless you're a spouse or civil partner of a British citizen, you should wait for at least 12 months after the grant of ILR.

No, you cannot. You have to wait for 1 year after you've got ILR.
