Hi there

I am an Iranian living in UK for 8 years now, 5 years ILR . I applied for citizenship on December 8th 2010. When I call the center the agent says that I should wait for 3 to 6 month. I see people in the forum getting their response in less than a month. Is it because different nationality or the frame work for UkBA is fast now . How long do you think I should wait? Any Answer would be greatly appreciated.

Did you use postal or NCS method?

This is a standard reply. It doesn't mean that you will necessarily wait this long. Bear in mind that the Christmas/New Year holidays will have slowed all applications down.
Applications made through the NCS aren't processed any quicker than postal applications.
