Child Citizenship Application

My wife is applying for UK Citizenship in August this year. She qualifies under the current rules I being a UK citizen. My step-son, her son, has been rsident and attending school in the UK throughout her qualifiying period. My question is - can we apply for citizenship for him at the same time as my wife makes application? Both are passport holders for Serbia.
